In the heart of Virginia lies a beacon of community development and economic revitalization - Virginia Main Street. This innovative program, spearheaded by the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development, is dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of downtown areas across the state. Through a strategic approach focused on design, economic vitality, promotion, and organization, Virginia Main Street is transforming downtowns into vibrant, thriving hubs of activity. We here at DCI are proud to call ourselves a part of Virginia Main Street’s mission. With collaborative efforts, DCI leverages Virginia Main Street's resources to enhance the downtown experience. Together, we are able to implement initiatives like facade improvements, streetscape enhancements, and small business support. This partnership is working to revitalize Downtown Christiansburg, drawing visitors, investors, and residents to our beautiful corner of Virginia. As Virginia Main Street continues to make waves statewide, its partnership with DCI serves as a beacon of collaboration and community development, one that YOU can get involved with. With the next level of Virginia Main Streets structure in sight for DCI, we would love the support of our Downtown Enthusiasts as we make an ask for Town support at the Town Council Meeting on March 26th at 7pm. We will see you at Town Hall! (100 East Main St)
